Unbonded/Separated stack up: Each layer or several layers are separated from one another in the central portion. Thus, they are unbonded in the center area and electronically connected at both ends of the flexible circuit. The flexibility is much better than that of the normal stack-up. Which is also called "Air Gap".

As the dual access flexible circuit board has merely one layer of copper trace, there is no requirement for the plating process of plated through holes (PTH) to establish a connection between the top and bottom, and the trace layout is significantly simpler.

The double-sided flexible PCB is composed of unique bilateral materials with coverlay openings. It has two copper conductive layers separated by a polyimide insulating layer and is connected via PTH or for special reasons
